The former main TU Delft building at Julianalaan will be the new temporary home for the Faculty of Architecture, where it will welcome all architecture students in the new academic year in September 2008.

20 May 2008: Marc Knegt first to graduate after the fire
Marc Knegt graduated from the Faculty of Architecture on Tuesday 20 May.
Knegt attained an outstanding achievement by graduating with a dual degree in Architecture and Urbanism. He designed the ‘Delfland Exit’, a golf course adjacent to the motorway exit by the same name.

According to a press release from the Municipality of Delft dated 20 May 2008, the Faculty of Architecture building met all the necessary fire safety requirements for existing buildings. The requirements are set out in the provisions of the Bouwbesluit (Dutch official regulations and standards for the building industry, established in 2003) as applied by the local authority. Failure to meet these requirements precludes the granting of an occupancy permit.

19 May 2008: Architecture has a heart again
The design education at the Faculty of Architecture has resumed on May 19th. Staff and students met up with each other in tents on the campus of Delft University of Technology. President Dirk Jan van den Berg and Dean of Architecture Wytze Patijn expressed their pride on the swift restart and the constructive spirit to make something good come out of this. According to Patyn: 'Architecture has a heart again.'
16 May 2008: Faculty of Architecture magazine, B-Nieuws, opens weblog

16 May 2008: New start Faculty of Architecture
Students and staff at TU Delft are working hard to get the Faculty of Architecture back on track as soon as possible. Education is expected to start again on Monday 19th May. The project learning activities will take place in tents on the TU Delft campus.

13 May 2008: Fire at TU Delft
A fire was reported at the Faculty of Architecture on Tuesday 13 May. Everyone could leave the building immediately during the evacuation. The fire is under control now.
