Neuro Muscular Control Lab

xhtmlc

The NMC Lab aims to reveal the neural control properties of the human motor system. The Lab is multidisciplinary, active on the borderline between dynamic modeling and system identification on the one hand and the clinical application on the other hand. In other words: between control theory and neurophysiology.

Using new methods, more and more detail of complex neural connections can be revealed. The current applications are aimed at several motor disorders involving motor control at the spinal level. The current state-of-the-art identification techniques offer new promising research applications such as correlation studies between spinal control processes and functional brain activity.

For software developed in the lab (like NMClab.m), go to software.
