Environmental Fluid Mechanics section
Welcome
to the web-site of the Environmental Fluid Mechanics section of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences at Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. The section is involved in research and education at undergraduate, graduate and PhD level. The main topics of research and education are:
- Elementary Fluid Mechanics and Turbulence in the context of rivers and coastal areas;
- Free-surface waves in coastal zones;
- Erosion, transport and deposition of (cohesive) sediments;
- Fluid structure interaction with emphasis on bed protection.
