Onderzoeksinteresses
Jacobien focuses on AI in Healthcare Systems, aiming to answer the following question: 'Why do so many promising applications have yet to be adopted in patients' clinical care or doctors' workflow?'
Many promising data-driven and algorithmic applications are being developed in healthcare systems, but unlocking the power of these clinical algorithms and their usefulness requires an interdisciplinary approach that goes beyond the walls of a hospital building.
Academische achtergrond
Jacobien Oosterhoff is an Assistant Professor in Artificial Intelligence for Healthcare Systems, in the Faculty Technology Policy and Management (ESS-ICT). She completed her medical school (MD) at the University of Amsterdam, and subsequently conducted PhD research in the Dept. of Orthopaedic Surgery from the Amsterdam University Medical Center - Location AMC.
