“My name is Thanos and I was the first student to be awarded the "SVM Packaging and Environment Scholarship". I had already submitted my master thesis proposal and passed the Kick-Off Meeting when I found out about this scholarship. My thesis had the topic of "The Effects of Supply Chain Sustainability Criteria when Selecting the Optimal Package Design". To be honest, in the beginning I was sceptical about applying since I did not believe that I would be selected among all bright TU Delft students. However, in the end I was selected and the process was really straightforward since the staff of Delft University Fund are very helpful. It is an undeniable fact that the travel fees for conducting face-to-face interviews with managers in the Packaging Industry are really high for an international student. With the fund that I was given I was able to travel multiple times from Delft to Utrecht and Nijmegen, the innovation centres where the implementation of my thesis took place. Furthermore, with the awarded amount of money I was able to prolong my stay in the Netherlands, finish my studies and search for a job in the packaging industry.”

"Take your pen, transform your innovative idea into a proposal and see your master thesis concept be realized! - Do not hesitate to apply for the SVM Scholarship."
