Prestigious invitation for TPM’s Marjolijn Haasnoot

Marjolijn Haasnoot of  TPM Policy Analysis and Deltares will acts as lead-author in the Sixth IPCC  Assessment cycle.

Lead authors are nominated by national governments and selected on the basis of their expertise. IPCC lead authors have to work in accordance with strict review procedures and volunteer their time. The Sixth Assessment Report is due 2021, in time for the first United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change global stocktake when countries will review progress towards their goal of keeping global warming to well below 2 °C while pursuing efforts to limit it to 1.5 °C.

Marjolijn Haasnoot will contribute to Working Group II (Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability) and serve as lead author for the Chapter on Europe.
