Researchers of the TU Delft developed and tested a system that can predict the behaviour of pedestrians and cyclists. These techniques are an important step towards the implementation of self driving cars.

Whilst techniques and software for self driving cars are nowadays well developed for driving on highways, autonomous techniques for driving in the city are still far away. The perception and prediction the behavior of pedestrians and cyclists is a important leap for safe autonomous vehicles.

The Dutch news network NOS visited the TU Delft to make an item about the test car.
