Congratulations to Nitin Gurram, IDE alumnus who has won the silver award in the A'Design Award & Competition. He received the award for his Industrial Design MSc graduation project, Foxpat Surgical Trainer.
Foxpat, a realistic simulation of a regular patient's knee, is a reusable training simulator developed to train surgeons who carry out Oxford Partial Knee Replacement surgery. Nitin’s project – a collaboration with Zimmer Biomet – was mentored by IDE’s Professor Richard Goossens and Assistant Professor Jun Wu.
