Brunel Solar Team wins Sasol Solar Challenge in Africa

The Dutch Brunel Solar Team, consisting of students from TU Delft, has won the solar race in South Africa. The team made the most kilometers with their solar car. Still, it was exciting for the Delft students - right up to the last moment.
Unlike a normal car race, the Solar Challenge was about getting the most miles, not the fastest time. The Dutch and Belgian teams followed each other closely, exchanged the lead and the difference in kilometers on the counter became less by the day. Before the start of the last day, the lead of the Delft team was only 10 kilometers. Fortunately, the TU Delft students still won.
