Online course for professionals: Circular Product Design Assessment

How can you determine if your product is "circular"? And how can you assess the potential of the various circular strategies such as Reuse, Repair, Remanufacture, Recycle for your product? These are just a few of the questions that will be addressed in the online course, ‘Circular Product Design Assessment’.

Circular product design helps design professionals improve the long-term sustainability performance of their products. The key principle of this approach is 'designing out waste': fitting your product in a circular economy where the value of your product, its components and materials are maintained and not wasted.

This course is aimed at helping design professionals such as product architects and industrial design engineers make their products more circular. This is a highly practical course, where participants will work with a working example to guide them through all the activities. They will also have a chance to apply what they’ve learn to a product of their own.

This course will be taught by IDE lecturers Bas Flipsen and Ingrid de Pauw. You can enrol in this course until 11 May 2022, but be quick because spots are filling up fast.
