Stijn Karaçoban joined ImPhys as MSc student
Stijn Karaçoban started his bachelor in Nanobiology in 2018 and graduated in 2021. During his BEP he worked in the lab of Jeroen Essers on an early detection method for cardiac fibrosis by evaluating PDGF receptor probes. Along with this Stijn also worked on automatic classification of the behavior of cardiomyocyte using CNNs as healthy or diseased.
Currently he is working on his master Nanobiology, for which he will be doing his MEP supervised by Jacob Hoogenboom. For this Stijn will be working on predicting the location of fluorescence signal in electron microscopy images using the CNN CLEMnet. Specifically he will be continuing the work to apply this network to images from a different microscope
