Mohammad joined ImPhys as a PhD student in the European doctorate program enabling the next generation of computational physicists and engineers (ENGAGE). He is working under the supervision of Dr. Eric Verschuur.

He completed his master's in Seismic Exploration at the Institute of Geophysics, University of Tehran, Iran. During his master's, he worked on a new deconvolution algorithm to jointly estimate three parameters: the reflectivity series, the phase shift of wavelets, and the attenuation (or "Q") parameter.

During his PhD, he is going to make the available JMI method physically more realistic and still affordable to make the method available for a broader range of acoustic imaging applications, such as seismic imaging for subsurface storage (e.g., CO2 or H2) and near-surface analysis.
