Ming Liu

Ming Liu has been working on the Department of Engineering Mechanics, School of Aerospace Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) as a assistant research fellow since March 2017. He had completed a postdoctoral research program under Prof. Tian Jian Lu in the field of mechanical and corrosion behavior of porous materials and structures between March 2017 and September 2019. He did his PhD in the Materials Science and Engineering, Corrosion and Protect Center under the supervision of Prof. Xiaogang Li at University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) from September 2013 to January 2017.

His PhD was focused on developing the high-strength and corrosion resistant low alloy steel bars in marine environment. He did his MSc on the corrosion resistance of Al and Cr low alloy steels at CNPC from September 2010 to July 2013. He got his bachelor’s degree in oral medicine in School of Dentistry, Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) from September 2005 to July 2010. He has published 20 SCI research papers in refereed journals, including Corrosion ScienceApplied Surface Science, Engineering Failure Analysis and so on. The SCI citation without self-citation is 190, and H-index is 7. Currently, he joined Professor J.M.C. (Arjan) Mol’s group as a visiting scholar for post-doctoral research in October 2019. His main research fields are corrosion and mechanical behavior of 3D printed and as-received dental materials in simulated oral environment in the project of OCPC and XJTU.
