PhD positions

Due to the expansion of the Faculty’s activities, we are creating twelve new PhD positions. In the years ahead, the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment will place emphasis on how the design, planning, engineering and management of architecture and the built environment contribute to solving the grand challenges of our time. To this end, and based on the three relevant social challenges of Urban Inequality, Climate Crisis and Scarcity (of Resources), the Faculty has defined six shared research themes. These themes are: Sustainable Urbanization, Healthy Cities, Heritage Futures, Digitization & Artificial Intelligence, Energy Transition & Climate Adaptation, and Circularity. Based on these research themes, twelve PhD research projects have been defined that will stimulate cross-departmental co-operation. We are looking for new colleagues whose ambitions resonate with our profile.
