Scholieren bouwen dijken tijdens Geoweek

Tijdens de Geoweek - die plaatsvond van 23 tot en met 27 mei – hebben middelbare scholieren de ‘masterclass Dijken Bouwen’ gevolgd in het Waterlab. Iedere ochtend en middag gingen dertig middelbare scholieren aan de slag in kleine groepjes met hun ontwerp van een dijk om deze eindelijk te beproeven.

Geoscience students ended first in the Imperial Barrel Award competition

The Imperial Barrel Award is an annual competition organized by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) for Geoscience MSc students from universities around the world. Each team receives a data set (2D and/or 3D seismic data, petrophysical logs, cores etc.) and has to define exploration targets in the area of interest.
