Gabriel holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the UERJ, a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a post-grad in Data Science from PUC-Rio. He joined Petrobras in 2012 as a Petroleum Engineer. He was manager of Digital Transformation at Petrobras until 2022. Currently, Gabriel is a Ph.D. candidate in Civil Engineering and Geosciences with primary research on improving risk and uncertainties analyses of CO2 injection operations through data assimilation in physics-based proxy models.

Gabriel Serrão Seabra holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (2011) – Magna Cum Laude Academic Distinction, a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a post-grad in Data Science from PUC-Rio. He joined Petrobras in 2012 as a Petroleum Engineer with experience in reservoir engineering, geomechanics, and data science. He was manager of Digital Transformation at Petrobras until 2022. Gabriel is also an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). In 2019, he was granted the SPE Young Professional Outstanding Service Award, and in 2022 he was the first Brazilian to be awarded as OTC Emerging Leader. He is a Ph.D. candidate in Civil Engineering and Geosciences at TU DELFT, primary research on improving risk and uncertainties analyses of CO2 injection operations through data assimilation in physics-based proxy models
