I am a PhD student in the Geoscience and Remote Sensing department in the discipline of atmospheric science.
Research
In the CloudBrake group we look at the interaction between (cumulus) clouds and momentum transport (mixing of winds from different altitudes). Understanding of the interaction between clouds, winds and momentum transport is key to eventually better represent these processes in climate or weather prediction models. Currently, I am working with observational data from the Cabauw tower to look at momentum transport at different cloudiness and convective conditions.
