Ir. W. (Weilun) Qin

Profile

I am a PhD candidate at the Department of Geoscience & Remote Sensing under the supervision of Dr. Riccardo Riva (TU Delft), Dr. Rob Govers (Utrecht University) and Dr. Natasha Barlow (University of Leeds). I obtained my MSc degree in Aerospace Engineering with specialization in Space Flight at TU Delft, where I developed a strong interest in modelling physical processes on planets.

In my PhD project, I will investigate the solid earth contribution to sea-level change by distinguishing the effects of Glacial Isostatic Adjustment (GIA) and tectonics. This work will contribute to the understanding of the earth’s glacial history and unravel the effect of climate change and tectonics on sea level.
