Marion Tissier

Profile

Marion Tissier was appointed in July 2014 as Assistant professor at the Environmental Fluid Mechanics section. Her research focuses on the study of wave transformation in the nearshore, combining laboratory, field data and numerical modelling.

She completed her PhD at the University of Bordeaux (France) in December 2011. Her PhD was mainly focused on the numerical modelling of nearshore wave transformation. After her PhD, she worked as a post-doctoral researcher during 2,5 years in the department of Physical Geography at Utrecht University. There, she participated in a EU-funded laboratory experiment, which aimed at investigating short- and long-wave propagation over a very low sloping beach.
