Anastasia Yunika

Profile

Anastasia obtained her bachelor degree (B.Eng.) in Civil Engineering from Diponegoro University (UNDIP) in Semarang, Indonesia. Her final project was a study on Semarang tidal flooding. She shortly developed her professional working experience with engineering consultants in two water sector projects of urban wat-san (water supply and sanitation) and drainage, before joining Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta as a lecturer.

She was awarded a scholarship by AIT-Danida (Asian Institute of Technology-Danish International Development Agency) for studying master program in Civil Engineering (Water Engineering and Management Program) at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Pathumthani, Thailand, specialized in Integrated Watershed Development and Management (IWDM). Her master thesis was a research on Jakarta flooding, funded by the University of Tokyo, Japan.

She started her PhD study in November 2015 which is funded by the DG-RSTHE (Directorate General of Resources for Science, Technology and Higher Education, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, the Republic of Indonesia) and (UAJY) Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta. She works with Dr. ir. J.G. (Jarit) de Gijt as her daily supervisor and Prof. Dr. ir. Matthijs Kok as her promotor.
