Dr. Ni Yan has a scientific background and over fifteen years of project-based professional experience in diverse international contexts, including academic, business and industry.
Ni carried out her PhD research at TU Eindhoven, in the framework of three EU-funded projects. After her PhD she worked as an advisor / subsidy consultant at PwC. Since joining TU Delft in 2012, Ni has successfully concluded three EU FP7 projects and has managed three EU H2020 projects, for which TU Delft is the coordinator.
At the Section of Hydraulic Structures and Flood Risk (HSFR), Ni coordinated research and education initiatives and activities, and she helped to set up and manage large international programmes and projects, until the beginning of 2020. Currently, she is affiliated to TU Delft as a guest researcher.
