Ir. N. (Nagarjun) Reddy

Profile

I am working in the Transport & Planning department as a PhD candidate in the SAMEN project. Here, I will be looking at modelling human drivers' behaviour in mixed traffic with the presence of automated vehicles.  My daily supervisor is Dr. ir. Haneen Farah, and my promotor is Prof. dr. ir. Serge Hoogendoorn.

I completed my MSc in Civil Engineering (Transport & Planning) here at the TU Delft. My graduation thesis was on "Road Infrastructure Requirements for Improved Performance of Lane Assistance Systems", which I did at the Province of North Holland.

Research

My PhD research constitutes the work package on “Human drivers behaviour and modelling in mixed traffic”. The two main research objectives are:

  • RO-A1: To understand human drivers’ behavioural adaptation when interacting with AVs, and to develop a behavioural theory and mathematical models for these interactions;
  • RO-A2: To investigate the implications of CAVs penetration rate on drivers’ behavioural adaptation.

Master Thesis on “Road Infrastructure Requirements for Improved Performance of Lane Assistance Systems”.
The report can be found here.
