Judith Boekee

Profile

Judith obtained both her bachelor's and master Earth and Environment at the Wageningen University. There she studied the physics of the soil-water-atmosphere continuum, specializing in (hydro-)meteorology. Her broad interests are shown by the wide range of topics she has worked on, from wind turbine performance to the relationship between extreme weather and Arctic sea ice decline.

In 2020 she joined the Water Resources Group of the Water Management Department as a PhD candidate.

Research

Her research is part of the “Clarity on Fruitfrost” project that studies the effectiveness and physical mechanisms behind mitigation measures for frost events in orchards. Here, her focus lies on plant physiology, spatial variability, and measures such as surface modification and sprinkling.
