Fostering inclusive growth, health and equity by mainstreaming water quality in River Basin Management in the Brantas River Basin, Indonesia

Over the past 20 years, water quality in Indonesia has deteriorated due to an increase of water pollution, and water quality management has not been sufficiently integrated into river basin management. Research and analysis is needed to identify pollution sources, assess contamination in Indonesian water resources, and identify opportunities for strengthened water resource governance, data and knowledge management, and community participation. The RVO-funded project "Fostering inclusive growth, health and equity by mainstreaming water quality in River Basin Management in the Brantas River Basin, Indonesia" - otherwise known as Aksi Brantas - aims to strengthen water quality management in the Brantas via a multi-stakeholder public-private partnership.
