Ir. Franca Kramer

Since June 2014, Franca Kramer started as a PhD candidate at the department of Sanitary Engineering. She is researching a new technology for reclamation of water, nutrients and energy from municipal sewage using Ceramic Nanofiltration.

After finishing her bachelors’ degree in Life Science and Technology at the University of both Leiden and Delft, Franca continued with the master Water Management at the faculty of Civil Engineering in Delft, specializing in drinking water treatment. During her master thesis she researched the behaviour of organic micro-pollutants in the riverbank.

After graduation Franca started as a drinking water engineer at the company Witteveen+Bos in Deventer. Where she contributed to international wastewater and water supply projects in the Netherlands and abroad (Ghana, Burundi, Croatia, Indonesia, etc). One and a half years later, it was time for a new challenge for Franca by starting PhD research.
