“Co-creation in Higher Education"

The Education Conversations originated from lecturers’ needs to discuss relevant and current educational topics with colleagues.
During this event the Academic Director of the Teaching Academy, Annoesjka Cabo, as well as several experts on the topic will be present to contribute and guide the conversation.
So whether you are completely new to this topics or already have a lot of ideas to share, please feel welcome to join this conversation.

The topic of this Education Conversation is “Co-creation in Higher Education"

In this online event we will collaboratively share experiences, examples, and applications of co-creation in education.
In this session we will go over several questions. Such as:

  • What is already happening in terms of co-creating education at TU Delft ?
  • What are the benefits/challenges of co-creating education?
  • What is your experience with co-creating in education?
  • And of course other questions that rise during the conversation.

Co-creating with students is a process by which students collaborate with teachers in designing their own learning experience. With an emphasis on student perspectives, it is based on constructivist learning theory, which says learners construct knowledge and meaning from lived experiences rather than from passively taking in information. Implicit in the concept of co-creation is a recognition that teaching is not a one-way process flowing from teacher to student. Meaningful learning opportunities are made possible by honouring student voices.
