Quantum ISA & µArch
In classical computers, the instruction set architecture is the interface between software and hardware. Similarly, a Quantum Instruction Set Architecture (QISA) is the interface between quantum software and hardware. In collaboration with the DiCarlo group and Vandersypen group within the QuTech fault-tolerant quantum computing roadmap, we are developing executable QISAs which can be directly executed on the quantum microarchitecture QuMA to control qubits.
We also enable performance analysis and architectural exploration by developing quantum (micro)architecture simulators.
