“In every time and age, you can judge the quality of a society by the way it deals with refugees, and in this respect our age in no different” - Floris Alkemade, the Dutch chief government architect. His lecture on the design competition for refugee housing is available online now.
On Wednesday 10 February Dutch Chief Government Architect Floris Alkemade gave a presentation on the story behind the design competition A Home Away from Home. The competition asks both students and professionals to give shape to vacant space in a meaningful way. The lecture was organised by Delft Seminars on Building Technology.
