The post Paris Plan: What is the role of gas in the energy transition?
As inspiration for scientist, policy makers, entrepreneurs and above all TU Delft students, the Delft Energy Initiative and the Energy Club organized on Thursday 22 September 2016 a debate. We brought together Shell’s Integrated Gas and New Energies Director, Maarten Wetselaar, Chief Economist at the IEA, Laszlo Varro, and Associate Professor Economics of Infrastructures, Aad Correljé. The debate covered a range of issues such as renewables vs gas, Policies and Geo-politics affairs and the economic investment situation.
IEA’s Laszlo Varro: "The energy future is not just in the hands of governments and businesses. Consumers also have a role to play”
Professor Jan Dirk Jansen, Faculty of Civil Engineering, was host of this lecture.
