New world record: 10.000 kids learn how to code with TU Delft MOOC 'Scratch'

News - 14 October 2016

On Friday 14th October, we've established a new world record. At 9.00 hours more than 10.000 children in primary schools throughout the Netherlands made their first steps in coding. They used the MOOC of Felienne Hermans of TU Delft: 'Scratch'.

This world record attempt is organized by the foundation Stichting CodeUur to inspire primary schools to include coding and digital schools in the educational programme and to have kids discover the options of new technology.

Nice to know: the Jeugdjournaal was filming, you can re-watch it online on NPO3. The segment starts at 6.30 min.
