News - 09 June 2017

On June 5, 2017 Dr. Timo Schweckendiek, research associate at the Department of Hydraulic Engineering of TU Delft, received the ‘GEOSnet Young Researcher Award’ at the Geo-Risk 2017 conference (Denver, USA).

GEOSnet is the Geotechnical Safety Network, an international association promoting the concepts of risk, reliability and safety in geotechnical engineering. The award recognises an individual below 40 years old that publishes an impactful series of research papers that advance geotechnical risk and reliability as a distinctive discipline. The "distinctive" elements are those elements that cannot be accounted for in existing deterministic geotechnical practice.
