Transport Institute partner in ITF/OECD Decarbonisation project
Last week professor Lóri Tavasszy reached an agreement with the International Transport Forum (ITF) of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to become a partner in the Decarbonising Transport project on the topic of freight transport and logistics.
Carbon emission reduction
In this partnership the ambition is to find policy pathways for carbon emission reduction together with project members from research, industry and policy. The partnership entails joint programming, sharing of data and co-operation in research. Lóri Tavasszy: “I expect that this collaboration will strengthen our scientific research as well as its societal impact. It will help us to mobilize scientific resources to tackle the global decarbonisation challenge.”
Transport Forum
The International Transport Forum at the OECD is an intergovernmental organisation with 57 member countries. It acts as a think tank for transport policy and organises the Annual Summit of transport ministers. More information on the Decarbonising Transport project can be found here.
