Two researchers from TU Delft appointed as researchers-in-residence for the National Library

Antoine Peris and Cynthia Liem are the new researchers-in-residence of the National Library of the Netherlands (KB). In 2018 they will spend six months carrying out research into the representation of cities in the media and tracing references to music pieces in digitised newspapers.

Antoine Peris, a PhD student in the Urban and Regional Research research group in the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, will be working at the National Library from January to June 2018, using smart computer technology to investigate how the image of cities has developed in local and national newspapers. 

Cynthia Liem is a pianist and an assistant professor in the Multimedia Computing Group in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science. From June to December 2018 she will be working to trace references to music pieces in the digitised newspapers of Delpher and will consequently connect them to the Muziekweb catalogue of the Centrale Discotheek Rotterdam.
