Artificial Intelligence; The computer as a brain
One of the biggest promises in the development of technology is artificial intelligence (AI). It seems far away, but there is a big chance that you use it more often in everyday life than you think. Searching in Google, talking to Siri on your iPhone or watching tips on Netflix are all forms of artificial intelligence. Interpreting data, recognizing patterns and matching data are the basis for this.
It is too early for consumers or small businesses to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) en masse. The technology is complicated and expensive and still in full development, but much can already be done and our knowledge is increasing. In the US and China, billions of dollars are being invested in research. Europe does not want to be left behind and that is why this month there was a call from a group of researchers to set up a European AI research institute.
