Very successful course for TenneT experts by ESE
In February the Department of Electrical Sustainable Energy hosted the final lecture for TenneT experts from various fields. They all attended the ‘Electrical Power Systems of the Future Academic Course’ by Mart van der Meijden. This special course consisted of a series of 10 lectures presented by the invited experts from the field, dealing with important topics of energy supply in future energy systems. The participants gained insight into different power transmission and control technologies, balancing, congestion management to enable large scale integration of sustainable energy sources in a reliable and secure way.
The participants were very enthusiastic. Experiences were exchanged and bright ideas were shaped. One of them said: "Running simulations by myself has given me a much better understanding of the theory!"
This course plays a part in tackling energy related societal challenges and thus contributes to the energy transition.
