IDE student wins COPIC AWARD 2017

“Outstanding realism achieved”, was the comment of the jury about Nigel Müller’s submission for the COPIC AWARD 2017. “Expert level marker rendering. Hard to believe that this is done with markers!” The jury awarded first-year IDE student Nigel with the Grand Prize in the category Design, for his submission ‘The Iconic Duo Ferrari and Fiat Dino’.

Nigel: “In this hand-drawn artwork I tried to capture every single detail of the beautiful Ferrari and Fiat Dino. I created this with mainly my Copic markers and I also used some coloured pencils and ink for detailing.” You can view his sketches (from start to finish) for the submission here.

With the award, Nigel wins COPIC materials and his work will be displayed during the award presentation ceremony. The ceremony takes place in Tokyo on Saturday 14 April.

The COPIC AWARD is the event aimed at providing an opportunity to share the artworks which using COPIC products, and connecting COPIC fans around the world.
