Karel Luyben Lecture in Berlin

News - 14 December 2018

The first Karel Luyben Lecture was held on 11 December. At the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Berlin, alumnus Professor Roel van der Krol (Helmholtz Institute and TU Berlin) gave his lecture "From Sunlight to Chemical Fuels: Towards a Clean Energy Future". Alumni from TU Delft, but also scientists, students and alumni from the other Dutch technical universities and from TU Berlin were present in large numbers at this special lecture. Thanks in part to the cooperation between the universities and the Innovation Attaché Network of the embassy and the excellent contribution of Dhr. Van der Krol we can conclude that this lecture was a great success. We are therefore looking forward to the next Karel Luyben Lecture in 2019. This will take place at a location yet to be announced.

Karel Luyben received the Karel Luyben Lecture On the occasion of his farewell as Rector Magnificus at the beginning of 2018. It’s a series of lectures that bear his name and are organized once a year abroad and once in Delft.
