TU Delft is ranked in  52nd position in the new QS World University Ranking that has been published on 6 June, a rise of two positions compared with last year. This places the university  among the top 5% in the QS Ranking, making it the highest-ranking Dutch university on this list again.

This year, QS has ranked over 1200 universities. 1011 of them are included in the list. These universities are ranked according to six indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty student ratio, citations per faculty, international students and international faculty.

Rankings

Rankings like the QS World University Ranking are primarily important to universities with regard to attracting international talent, as they are regularly consulted by students and researchers all over the world. Alongside the Shanghai and THE rankings, the edition published by QS is one of the three leading international university rankings. Each of these rankings is compiled using a slightly different methodology, each with its own advantages and limitations.
