The international Open Education Consortium is honouring TU Delft with an Open Education Award in the Open Policies category. The award is in recognition of the integration of openness in the university’s Strategic Framework for 2018-2024, Impact for a Better Society. The OE Consortium praised TU Delft’s dedication to openness (in fields including education) and the role played by TU Delft as a thought leader in open education.

The OE Award Open Policies: Creation, adoption and implementation of an open policy, legislation or mandate.  A policy with clear impact of public investment in the development of open knowledge through the efficient use and reuse of resources for the public good.

The OE Consortium announced the award ahead of the annual international OE Global Conference, during which the awards will be presented. TU Delft is hosting this year’s conference. It was previously announced that Felienne Hermans, assistant professor of Software Engineering at TU Delft, will receive an Educator Award.
