MAS researchers receive funding from NWO Urbanising Deltas of the World

NWO has selected four projects to receive funding in the first round of the Connecting Worlds of Knowledge call of the Urbanising Deltas of the World (UDW) research and innovation programme. All four projects are led by main applicants from the global south. TPM researchers are involved in three of these projects. The projects are aimed at enhancing the use and translation of UDW research results for innovation and implementation in delta management and policies.

Jill Slinger will work on Design for Inclusive and Adaptive Delta Management in Ghana, South Africa and the Netherlands. Leon Hermans will work on Participatory Institutional Analysis, based on PhD research by Sharlene Gomes. He will also be participating in a project on Stakeholder-oriented Planning Tools for Delta Planning in Bangladesh, co-developed by postdoc researcher Dorien Korbee and EPA MSc graduate Juan David PatiƱo Guerra.
