Airwave snorkel masks to protect medical staff on Dutch corona wards

Doctors and nurses on the corona wards of three Dutch hospitals will soon be wearing re-configured snorkel masks, which have been co-developed by TU Delft.

Doctors in multiple hospitals have performed tests and are enthusiastic about the personal mask that which can be cleaned and reused and ensures that supplies of other PPE are available to the rest of the healthcare staff. Project Air-wave.org is a collaboration involving a number of organisations including Haaglanden Medisch Centrum, TU Delft and Royal Dutch Shell.
