Delft at Dutch Design Week – don’t miss it!

News - 22 October 2020 - Communication

With just three days left to go of Dutch Design Week, do take the time to explore the diverse contributions from TU Delft’s Industrial Design Engineering students, researchers and alumni, many of which are gathered at tudelft.nl/dutchdesignweek.

The lack of physical exhibitions this year is more than made up for through the films, e-magazines and livestreamed discussions, illuminating a diverse range of topics. Tomorrow (Friday 23 October) at 13:00 IDE’s Assistant Professor Jasper van Kuijk will feature in Design United’s Up Close and Personal live talk show, where he will be discussing the topical theme of Crisis!, alongside Professor Jeroen van Erp, recent IDE graduate, Joseph Kesisoglou and Assistant Professor Achilleas Psyllidis. Watch the livestream here.

For those of you who might have missed any of this week’s Up Close and Personal talks, they are all gathered by theme on this site.

In addition to the design research projects celebrated via Up Close and Personal, Drive and Van Berlo/Accenture, there are also a number of student projects at Dutch Design Week. The Resonance Pod, is a project created by Willemijn Boere and Yvon Ruitenburg. The suspended chair cocoons its occupant and guides their breathing rhythm by means of different stimuli, such as light, vibrations, and sound.

Meanwhile Ammos, the James Dyson Award-winning glass speaker which promotes repairability is also on show.
