On March 16 we will present the results of the PVE Heat Transition Utrecht

News - 20 February 2020 - Webredactie

At the end of 2019, 550 residents of Utrecht had the opportunity to give advice on the Thermal Energy Transition Vision of the municipality of Utrecht through participating in a Participatory Value Evaluation (PVE). This is the first PVE that has been executed for the energy transition. Within this PVE, residents could provide an advice on achieving the target of making 22.000 homes gas-free by 2030. Residents could allocate 100 points among four approaches to achieve this goal; 1) housing costs do not rise; 2) residents choose themselves; 3) maximum CO2-reduction; 4) start in the neighbourhoods with a high financial capacity. After residents had allocated their points, they were asked to provide written motivations for  their choices . Residents could also design their own approach if they wanted to.

On Monday 16 March, between 14:30 and 16:00, we will organise a meeting where we will present the results. During the meeting we also discuss PVEs in the Energy Transition that will be conducted in the near future. The event will take place near Utrecht Central station. Do you want to be present at this presentation? Send an email to N.Mouter@tudelft.nl. A few spots are still available. (NB This event is in Dutch only).
