PVE in ScienceGuide: Personal choices are fundamentally different from social ones
Last week, the first results of the PVE on relaxing corona measures in the Netherlands were presented to the general public. A few days before, they were offered to the RIVM and Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, just in time before Mark Rutte and Hugo de Jonge announced the lifting of some of the corona measures. It is striking that there are a lot of similarities between the policies of the cabinet and what respondents indicated as an optimal strategy in our experiment. It turns out that there is a high amount of solidarity among the Dutch: most respondent want to get out of this crisis together. This is something Mark Rutte also emphasized in his press conferences.
