Two nominees Marina van Damme Grant 2020

Each year, Delft University Fund organises the award ceremony of the Marina van Damme Grant. This grant is made possible thanks to dr.ir. Marina van Damme and enables young female engineers to develop and boost their personal career. This year, the jury nominated two candidates for the prestigious award (€9,000). The award ceremony will take place online this year, on May 13 2020. Everyone is welcome to join this online ceremony.

Two nominees

The nominees are Lefki Loverdou, alumna Faculy of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, MSc. Water Management and Martina Cuschieri, alumna Faculy of Mechanical, Maritime and Materials Engineering, MSc Biomedical Engineering.

Lefki Loverdou
Lefki is currently working as an advisor/researcher at Deltares. It is her ambition to grow further from her current position as a technical expert to an innovation advisor on water and energy-related topics.

Martina Cuschieri
Martina is currently working at AquaBattery and wants to improve her communication and coaching skills for her personal development.

Jury

The jury of the Marina van Damme Grant 2020 consists of prof. M.S. van Geenhuizen (professor at the Faculty of Technology, Policy  and Manament), ir. Titia E. Haaxma (alumna Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering), ir. Zamorah E.R. Getrouw (winner Marina van Damme Grant 2011)  and ir. Jan A. Dekker (board member Delft University Fund).
