Support for graduating students restarted

Learn more by working and designing together

The “Co-creating the graduation journey” project has come to its second intervention. The students who participated to the first intervention felt increasingly motivated in their graduation process thanks to the great energy and the empathy of the weekly check-in discussions with their fellow graduating students. If you are starting your graduation between February and March, sign up to the graduation community programme and attend the kick-off day.

A collective weekly check-in was introduced last semester for graduating IDE master students. One of the main findings of this initiative was that students who participated in the sessions felt a higher motivation to work on their graduation projects thanks to talking and exchanging their thoughts with their peers. As one of these students reports:

“When others share what they are doing, share their struggles and how they try to solve them, it inspires me to also look at the positive side and to see how I can continue instead of being stuck in my negative thoughts.” Read more about this first intervention on the new website.

Based on the insights  gathered through the feedback of the participating students, IDE researchers Marie van den Bergh, Mieke van der Bijl-Brouwer, Rebecca Price and Eva Legemaate are now developing a graduation community programme aimed at building a peer-learning community of graduating students.

If you are a student starting your graduation between the beginning of February and the first half of March, grab this opportunity and kick-start your graduation project joining the Graduation Community kick-off day of IDE on 1 March from 9:00 to 12:30.
