Niek Mouter makes his contribution in Nieuwsuur about vaccination doubters

News - 28 April 2022 - Webredactie

After studying the data from previous PVE studies for RIVM and VWS, it turned out that vaccination doubters have great confidence in the information they receive from doctors and general practitioners when it comes to COVID-19. Doubters, on the other hand, have little faith in RIVM, politics and the media. They trust the information from family and acquaintances about COVID-19 even more than the information from RIVM, politics and the media. The key to increasing the vaccination coverage therefore probably lies with (general) doctors. They are a source of trust. Doubters do not seem to need a conversation with someone who is trying to convince them, but rather a conversation in which they receive objective information about the pros and cons of a vaccine.
