Coronavirus update: outdoor sports with two people and takeaway

News - 20 December 2021 - Communication

In the news item of Saturday 18 December, you could read that X is closed until 14 January 2022. Fortunately, we are not completely closed. There are several exceptions for which X is still accessible. For example, an outdoor facility can be booked for sports involving no more than two people at a distance of 1.5 metres. In addition, the takeaway service is still open for delicious takeaway meals.

Outdoor sports
Outdoor sports are permitted on our outdoor facilities. Be sure to book a time slot. The outdoor fields/courts are open every day from 8:00 to 17:00. For the true early birds, the following facilities are open starting at 7:00: soccer field 2, hockey field 3 and tennis courts 5 to 10. The balloon hall is closed.

Outdoor sports are permitted with no more than two people at a distance of 1.5 metres. It is not permitted for teams of two to play against each other.

When coming to X, use the main entrance and report to the hosts before walking to the outdoor facility/court that you have reserved. The toilets in the entrance hall are accessible. The changing rooms and lockers are closed. Be sure to change at home and bring as few things with you as possible.

There are no association activities until 14 January 2022.

UPDATE 21 December 2021:
Unfortunately, the interpretation of the measures regarding the possibility of playing tennis in pairs was changed on Tuesday 21 December. The Association of Sports Municipalities, has sent a letter to municipalities stating that doubles is not allowed. This means that at X, only playing tennis with two players per court (singles) is possible.

Takeaway
If you don’t feel like cooking and/or if you want to get a breath of fresh air outdoors, then try our takeaway service. It is now also open during daytime! This means that you can go there for a delicious takeaway meal on weekdays from 12:00 to 21:00. (The takeaway service is closed during the Christmas holidays, from 27 December to 7 January).

Courses
In response to the earlier press conferences, some courses had been cancelled, some had been moved to daytime slots and some had been converted to online format.

  • The courses that had been moved to daytime slots cannot continue and have been cancelled. Participants will be notified about the amount of the refund in early 2022.
  • The courses that had already been converted to online instruction can continue according to plan.

And now a look ahead to Q3. As it is still unclear what the situation will be around mid-February – when the new series of courses would normally start –, we are putting the preparations, which were already in full swing, on hold for the time being. We will be keeping a close eye on the projections, though, and will do everything we can as soon as it becomes clear what will or will not be possible around that time.

Online programme
As stated above, the online courses can continue according to plan. We are also active online in other ways! The events that had already been scheduled in online form will continue as planned, and you will be able to participate in several on-demand videos (we are putting together a nice Christmas package for you). If you prefer to participate in the live ticket hour, you can do that too. This week, several online ticket hours are planned and also after the Christmas holidays, you can participate in several online ticket hours. Keep an eye on the schedule
