Digital Circular Economy Lab (DiCE Lab) launched

News - 11 February 2022 - Circular Built Environment Hub

TU Delft and ETH Zurich circularity researchers have recently launched the Digital Circular Economy Lab (DiCE Lab), a knowledge sharing and networking platform with the idea of bringing together academics, practitioners, policymakers, students and many more working on digital transformation and circular economy fields across the sectors.

DiCE Lab states that digital technologies are essential to implement circular strategies in the built environment. From digital product passports to artificial intelligence, numerous solutions make resource flows visible and accessible for circular operations.
Free of charge webinars on every last Tuesday of the month offer opportunities to discuss digital innovations, broad adoption of circular strategies and acceptance of digital technologies in construction practice. The first DiCE Lab webinar took place online on 25 January and was about digital product passports for a circular economy. Sultan Çetin, co-founder of the DiCE Lab at TU Delft: “Three pioneer speakers presented their work. Around 80 participants joined the webinar across the globe and got a chance to exchange with the speakers in break-out sessions. For this year we have planned several more webinars, about blockchain technology, the Internet of things and AI for a circular economy.”
