Gulden Feniks 2021 - Renovation Wild Card for ESP Lab

The ESP Lab has been awarded the Renovation Wild Card of the Gulden Feniks 2021. The wild card is granted by the jury to a project that has a major impact with a relatively low investment or is otherwise special and exceptional in nature. "It is a miracle", said the jury, "that the ESP Lab was not demolished at the time. (...) The jury recognises sublimation in the result of the way in which a classical client such as TU Delft has convincingly developed and improved the building into a workspace with once again an intriguing James Bond-like atmosphere.
